The Punjab Cabinet approved the jail trial of Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi

The Punjab Cabinet has approved the trial of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and former federal minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail on the direction of a special court. According to Dawn News, the third meeting of the Punjab Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

In the meeting, the Cabinet approved the approval of the annual budget and supplementary budget grant for the financial year 2024, besides handing over the Lahore Knowledge Park to the Punjab Central Business District (CBD) Authority and Pakistan’s largest IT Approval was also given to transfer the land to Central Burns District for building the city. In the meeting, projects of supply of 20,000 electric bikes were also approved by Punjab Bank, and the Chief Minister of Punjab has issued instructions to complete both towers of IT City in one year.

Addressing the meeting, Maryam Nawaz said that we are building Pakistan’s first IT city in Lahore and tech giants like Google, Microsoft have expressed their interest in the IT city. Major educational institutions will be invited to build campuses.

He said that electric bikes are necessary to reduce environmental pollution but currently not suitable due to battery theft and low mileage, we have decided to provide petrol bikes along with electric bikes to reduce the burden on students. Therefore, the down payment has been reduced to 25,000 and the monthly installment will also be less than 5,000. The distribution of bikes will be started from May this year. Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that they will bring a separate scheme to give bikes to the students who have achieved significant success in the exams.
