Bollywood star Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan’s controversial anti-Pakistan film ‘Fighter’ flopped on the fifth day of its release. According to Indian website Pinkvilla, the film ‘Fighter’, which was released on January 25, earned good business at the box office in the first two days, even surpassing Hollywood films in India. However, despite a good opening, the film could not be a success at the box office for long and the Indian media is declaring it a flop on the fifth day of the film’s release.

‘Fighter’ had done a business of 24 crores on the first day of release and 41 crores on the second day, while on the fifth day a 70 to 80 percent decline was recorded and could only do business of 7 to 8 crores.Fighter has grossed around Rs 13 crore at the domestic box office, and has grossed around Rs 215 crore worldwide.

In the film, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone play the roles of squadron leaders of the Indian Air Force, while Anil Kapoor will be seen as the commanding officer. After the trailer of the film was released, Indian actors were heavily criticized by Pakistani actors and the public.
