Sunni Ittehad Council’s Letter To Election Commission For Specific Seats

In a letter to the Election Commission, the Sunni Ittehad Council requested certain seats. According to the letter, the Sunni Ittehad Council has accepted 50 independent candidates who have been successful and backed by Tehreek-e-Insaaf. Notifications of these appointments were made on February 16. The letter has asked that the Sunni Ittehad Council be given the allocated seats meant for women and non-Muslims.

Noteworthy is the announcement made yesterday by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s newly elected independent members that they will be joining the Sunni Etihad Council. PTI leader Barrister Gohar declared that the party has won 180 seats in the National Assembly during a joint news conference in Islamabad with the leaders of the Sunni Unity Council and Majlis Wahdat al-Muslimeen. PTI was mentioned as the party in all of our candidates’ nomination papers, indicating that PTI supports them.

Barrister Gohar had stated that our coalition is for our country and that our candidates in the National Assembly, Punjab assembly, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly will join the Sunni alliance. The head of the Sunni Ittehad Council had stated, “I am deeply grateful to the PTI founder. We have an alliance with PTI that is 7-8 years old. We do not have a new alliance with PTI.” We firmly believe that Nizam Mustafa should be allowed to remain in the nation, and we have an unwavering affiliation with the PTI.
